Coming out of 2020, 2021 has proven to be another unprecedented year throughout the global supply chain across all industries – and corporate relocation is no exception. Our industry has been racked with never before seen pressure on all cost drivers presenting non-stop challenges to our clients and customers. Giant container ship stuck in a canal, anyone? Additionally, ever-changing freight costs, labor rates and equipment shortages (who had worldwide scarcity of packing tape?) are taking their toll and show no sign of letting up at least through Q1 of 2022 and perhaps beyond. If these things weren’t so serious for our industry, you’d have to laugh at the absurdity of some of the issues we are dealing with.

Scott Eickler has been promoted to Vice President of Global Supplier Partnerships. In this new role, his responsibilities include diversifying Altair’s revenue streams, helping create competitive differentiators within the mobility space and managing our supplier partner networks.
Eickler joined Altair’s Atlantic Region Service Center in Shelton, Connecticut, as the Director of Global Supplier Partnerships in April 2018. Since that time, he has made numerous positive contributions to the organization. According to Senior Vice President of Global Supplier Partnerships, Jim Edwards, “Scott has played an instrumental role in the current structure and development of our supplier networks. There is no doubt he will continue to innovate the processes governing our global supplier partner networks and elevate the relationships Altair holds across the industry.”
Eickler has been in the relocation industry since 1998 and has extensive experience in managing domestic moving services and supplier networks.
